Metaxu-D Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasms. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms.

Metaxu-D Tablet is best taken in an empty stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

Some of the common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhea, sleepiness, and loss of appetite. If any of these side effects bother you or do not go away with time, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.

Metaxu-D Tablet is a combination medicine that contains a painkiller as well as a muscle relaxant. It is used to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling in conditions that affect muscles. Also, it effectively relieves muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving muscle movement. It works by blocking chemical messengers in the brain that tell us we have pain. Take Metaxu-D Tablet as prescribed by the doctor to get the most benefit. Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time. This will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.

HOW TO USE METAXU-D TABLET
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Metaxu-D Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
HOW METAXU-D TABLET WORKS
Metaxu-D Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Diclofenac and Metaxalone, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles.Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Metaxalone is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm. It relieves pain and improves the movement of muscles.
Your doctor or nurse will give you an injection or  guide you for self administration.

Alcohol - UNSAFE

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Metaxu-D Tablet.

Pregnancy - CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Metaxu-D Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding - CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Metaxu-D Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving - CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Metaxu-D Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney - CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Metaxu-D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Metaxu-D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver - CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Metaxu-D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Metaxu-D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended in patients with liver disease if this medicine is to be taken for a long time.

WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE METAXU-D TABLET?
If you miss a dose of Metaxu-D Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
