TAPANTRA ER 50 TABLET

ZUDRONIC Solution for Infusion is used to treat or prevent weakening of the bones (osteoporosis) caused by menopause or use of steroids. Using this medicine can reduce your risk of breaking bones. It is also used to treat high levels of calcium in people who have cancer.

ZUDRONIC Solution for Infusion is given by a doctor or nurse. How much you are given, and how often, will be decided by your doctor. It may just be a single injection or you may need regular injections depending upon your underlying condition. Your doctor will ask you to drink plenty of water before the injection, to avoid getting dehydrated. It may take several days to get the full benefit of this drug.

BENEFITS OF TAPANTRA ER TABLET

Unlike immediate-release formulations, Tapantra ER is specifically designed for severe, ongoing pain that requires continuous, around-the-clock treatment. It is not intended for “as-needed” use.

Effective for various types of pain: It provides strong relief for nociceptive pain (caused by tissue damage), neuropathic pain (caused by nerve damage), and mixed-type chronic pain.

HOW TO USE TAPANTRA ER TABLET
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tapantra ER 50 tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time. This will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, and quality of life.
HOW TAPANTRA ER TABLET WORKS
Tapentadol works in two ways: it acts on opioid receptors and inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine in the brain.
It reduces pain signals by acting on opioid receptors and also enhances the levels of a natural chemical called norepinephrine, which helps block pain messages in the nervous system. This dual function is believed to increase its effectiveness in treating pain.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet.

Pregnancy - CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Liver - CAUTION

Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving – UNSAFE

Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. If you feel drowsy, dizzy, have blurred vision or a slow reaction time while taking Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet, then do not drive.

Kidney - CAUTION

Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver - CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE ZUDRONIC SOLUTION FOR INFUSION?

If you miss a dose of Tapantra-ER 50 Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
